Labiaplasty

This operation is ideal for female patients with:

• Labia minora that hangs below the level of the labia majora
• Excess labia minora that experience discomfort

Labiaplasty is an operation that surgically excises excess skin of the labia minora. This can help address discomfort during sexual intercourse, exercise, with certain types of clothing; it can also establish a more classical appearance of the vulva where the labia minora rests within the outer hood of the labia majora. Dissolving stitches are used, and scars are usually well hidden. This typically occurs as a day-surgery procedure, meaning patients will be discharged home the same day as the operation.
